A Brief History of Jackie
1958 Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
1959-1964 moves to Arkansas, Texas, back to Arkansas, finally settling in Florida. Attends elementary school wearing baseball cleats
1966 Takes 1st photographs with Kodak Brownie camera
1973 – 1976 Attends high school wearing bell bottoms. Reads Virginia Woolf
1977 – 1981 Attends University of South Florida studying Fine Art & English Literature. Drives a 1968 VW Karmann Ghia
1981 – 1986 Works at various & sundry jobs. Decides the 9 – 5 is everything it’s cracked up to be. Trades VW in for a BMW R75/6 motorcycle
1986 Moves to Boston, MA to experience a 4-season clime. Buys several books. Attends lecture by Camille Paglia at Harvard
1986-1993 Works as a video producer for Polaroid & other clients. Listens to
Siouxsie & the Banshees at high volume
1992-1994 Attends The School of the Museum of Fine Arts for self-imposed re-education. Connects the dots
1994 Moves to NYC. Finds studio apartment with bathroom the size of a 727 lavatory. Rides the subway. Visits museums
1995-2001 Divides time between NYC & Long Island
2001 September 11
2003 – Present Lives & works on Long Island. Takes photographs with digital SLR & her father's Rolleiflex. Smells the flowers. Drives a bicycle
